The City of Burlington is accepting applications for two open five-year terms on the Board for Registration of Voters (BRV), the civic body that maintains the city’s voter checklist and assists residents during elections.
The BRV meets monthly to review additions and removals from the voter rolls. On Election Day, board members staff the “Voter Help” table at polling places, helping resolve registration issues so eligible voters can cast their ballots.
Members receive a small stipend for attending meetings and working elections. Appointments are made by the City Council and Mayor.
“Ensuring an accurate voter checklist and smooth election-day support is vital to our democracy,” said Grace Grundhauser, Chair of the BRV.
“We encourage Burlington residents who are detail-oriented and committed to public service to apply.”To be considered, interested individuals must submit a completed application to Lori Olberg at lolberg@burlingtonvt.gov by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
