The Burlington Police Department would like to warn the public about recent scam calls in which the caller pretends to be a BPD officer.
This week, officers received reports indicating a suspicious caller who tells individuals they are an officer from the Burlington Police Department and are seeking money due to an outstanding warrant.
The BPD would like to remind the public never to give out personal information or to pay money in response to unknown or suspicious callers. People are also encouraged to report suspicious calls to the Vermont Attorney General’s Office using the information below:
