Tomorrow (Thursday), the City of Burlington will host the first of two Public Safety Community Forums to discuss important issues and challenges facing our city: drug trafficking, gun crime. Panelists at each forum will present information about ongoing work at the local, state, and federal levels to address these issues. Participants are invited to submit questions in advance of the forums on the City’s website.

In October 2023, the City Council passed a resolution declaring the unprecedented increase in substance use a public health crisis and together with drug activity in our city, to be Burlington’s top public health and safety priority. The resolution called for these two community forums to discuss these issues.
