Gunshots shattered the tranquility of Main Street between Church Street and S. Winooski Ave. in Burlington on Saturday around 2AM, prompting a swift response from the Burlington Police Department. Officers swiftly arrived at the scene, conducting a preliminary investigation, securing the crime scene, and gathering statements from witnesses.
Shortly after the incident, a male victim arrived at the UVM Medical Center Emergency Department, bearing a gunshot wound that linked him directly to the Main Street shooting. Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening, and he was promptly treated and released from the hospital.
The Burlington Police apprehended Jaiden Green, a 19-year-old resident of Burlington, on 3/16/24 at approximately 7:00 PM. Green was charged with the serious offense of 2nd Degree Attempted Murder. However, a Chittenden County Judge ordered Green’s release on certain conditions. The judge issued a citation for Green to appear in court today, Monday the 18th, at 10:30 AM..
